Add Pizzazz to Your Fence with Finials

Add pizzazz to your yard or garden by placing a finial on each posts of your fence. Finials are decorative tops added to already existing fence post caps. Some finials, such as plastic ones, have a base that can protect the post top and are installed by simply setting them over the fence posts, while others are attached with screws. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes that include points or spears, such as you would see on old-style wrought iron fences.  Finials are a great way to add dimension to your fence, whether you have cast aluminum, wood or wrought iron as your fencing choice.

Most top of the line wood finials are hand crafted out of either Western Red Cedar or Redwood and look great added to corner posts, deck posts and on top of simple post caps to the inner fence posts. You can also add some pizzazz to your porch railing with a flat board that runs along the top by installing finials on the corner posts here as well. Another application for finials is on gate posts, where they will add a bit of sizzle to your entry way. Easy to install and easy to maintain, finials are an inexpensive way to add a little wow factor to your yard!
