Healthy,safe, clean water. Isn’t that what we are all looking for?  Unfortunately unless we use some sort of filtration system either coming into our home or at our sink, we are likely to get water that really isn’t all that healthy. Sure, it’s come a long way from years ago, but with the added contaminates like pesticides and pharmaceuticals, our water is really taking a beating!  Fortunately there are solutions to the problem, however we want to make sure that they are cost effective. We could purchase bottled water, but that is no guarantee of any better water than what we get out of our tap.

The water purification system that we choose as a solution was a whole house filter from Better Water Store.  The brand we picked was the Aquasana EQ-300 filter. This filter was thousands of dollars less than some systems and even came with a Underwriters Laboratories  certification.  The unit ran $800 dollars and included free shipping. A local plumber we hired ran us $200 to install and hook the unit up. Now our house has chlorine free water everywhere, including laundry, dishwasher, and showers!  The unit lasts 3 years or 300,000 gallons of water. Very cost effective. We are very happy and recommend it highly.
