Picking The Best Whole House Filter Tips

Picking  the best whole house filter can seem a little daunting at times but if you look at it from a couple of key points its not so hard.  First is that there are a lot of manufacturers of filters out there and I must admit most of them do a good job of filtering your water. I’d go for the ones that meet NSF standards and have been Underwriters Laboratories approved. Underwriters Laboratories is an expensive process to go through and most manufacturers aren’t confident enough to pay for it.

Next look at how complex it is. I prefer simplicity. Sun Water System’s Aquasana Rhino EQ-300 is a good example. Made in the United States.  Underwriters Laboratories approved. Check. Great price.  $799.20 Check. Simplicity. Check. The unit gets replaced every three years or 300,000 gallons of water and doesn’t need an electrical hookup  or  any back-flushing.  Simple.  After a lot of research we ended getting ours though a company called Better Water Store. They had it at a discount price and included free shipped. It arrived a few days later and our plumber had it installed in an hour and a half. Works great!
