When I was growing up my mom always had a great big roaster that she used for all of our big family meals and holiday dinners. She’d cook her turkey in it or a big juicy roast surrounded by vegetables and potatoes. I can remember many a delicious supper that started in that great big pot. Owning a big roasting pot has become a bit of a tradition in our family. Every time one of us would move out and get our own place, my mom would buy us a Classic Oval Covered Roaster of our very own.

I love the roaster, not just because it’s sturdy and I use it constantly, but also because it brings back a lot of wonderful, sentimental memories when I cook in it. I have the Magnalite covered roaster that’s crafted from hand-poured cast aluminum. The pot cooks evenly and features a thick base that won’t warp plus a domed tight-fitting lid. The roaster is oven-safe to 350 degrees and it’s protected by the manufacturer’s 50 year limited warranty, which is great because I plan to use my favorite Roaster Pan for a long time to come!
